i live in an old farmhouse in the country and love every last minute of my blessed life (okay…so there’s some that hasn’t been so much fun, but still…). i don’t do high heels, have never had a manicure, and i haven’t got a clue about what i’m supposedly missing on ‘must see tv’. i don’t have a gardener, a pool boy, a maid or a cook…what would i do all day if i did? recently i’ve started back to school for my bsn…at 39. what am i thinking? oh, and i have a dry sense of humor, too.
i initially started a blog 4 years ago so that i could interact with others that loved the art of quilting as much as i do. it’s now evolved into wanting to record a tiny bit of my life here on earth to pass on to my children/grandchildren, etc. i’ve always kept a ‘real life’ journal but always struggled with how to incorperate (safely) pictures that wouldn’t fall out or get lost over time. thanks to blurb i can now do just that, pictures and all.
within the past couple of years i have discovered the love of photography. it has been so fulfilling. i have found that i look at people and places (and lighting!) so differently now. i’ll never be a professional, but that’s never been my goal. i just want to capture those places and people that i love so that one day when my memory fails me (it’s not too far off now), i can look back on those pictures and relive the moment once again.
to get a clearer picture of who i am and why i blog, you can read here.
thank you all for the private emails and comments you leave me! i do my very best to get around to replying to them, but sometimes that is not always possible. between school, kids and life in general, my time is so very limited. please don’t think that i don’t appreciate your kind words and comments though. they are greatly appreciated. you can reach me at decafplease@ymail.com
